i'm sloane & i have this condition
where i draw lots of things. currently living in portland, or.
Snarly wolf pencils by Rory duh, lines n’ other stuff by this jerk.
RORY AND JEN AND I GOT SOME COOL STUFF PLANNED
I have a conspiracy wall styled schedule and also several layers of to do lists organized on a spectrum of paying to non-paying work and deadlines and also also organized by personal/commercial work and length of each project
T uT but because im into self-sabotage i end up neglecting it or constantly shifting work to be my priority on whim but i never miss a deadline (within reason ofc)ps: I also have a weird sixth sense which allows me to intuitively predict exactly how much time i need to do a project. ill wake up and be like ‘ok i need to work on X for three days straight’ and like magic it is done
found all these old digital cam photos from 08 on my flickr that i ran through some weird wannabe-instagram filter program on my computer ha
Eventually he became a wraith. A ghost of his former glory. There is no life left in his eyes. Only a bitter spark of madness, endlessly seeking revenge.
Some call me mad to say this but I have looked in to those hateful eyes more times than I’d like to recall. I see his hatred and I feel my shame.

American Mangaka will be up at the Amakusa Cultural Exchange Center from June 1-8, with an opening on June 1st from 12-5pm.
I’ll have some prints and comic pages in this show! Check it out if you are in this area~
the paniolo, the samurai and the young monk
characters from a really important project that i want to do in the future. one of my goals is to make this comic series/graphic novel that will be in the school curriculum in Hawaii. most Hawaiian history books cover ancient Hawaii and its mythology and then skip towards the overthrow and then to the white guys who took the Islands over.
i want to explore that time period, between 1880-1900, when there were people coming from all over the world, either of their own free will or forced, to try and make a better life there. there were Japanese, Chinese, Portuguese, Puerto Ricans, Maori and Phillipinos all struggling to make a life there and in that struggle they made a new culture, developed a pidgin language they could all speak.
but schools don’t teach that and history books don’t explore this time very much because it was all about the sugar and pineapple industries booming, all about the The Big Five.
anyway, this is something i wanna do soon because i would have killed to learn about this insanely important part of hawaiian history in school when i was younger. hopefully i can make this happen…
When I could no longer withstand his ire I turned against him. I broke his Kingdom and scattered his possessions in to the wind.

i was 9 years old when i learned i was a color and that this color mattered
recently i wrote a bunch of tiny stories, about 4 or 5 lines long, on twitter and sent them out into the hands of masterful artists and comickers to illustrate! so far there are 9 finished out of the 35 i wrote and they are absolutely beautiful~
favorite era: maybe early 70s and 90s manga??? and late 70s/early 80s BD?? THERE IS GOOD STUFF ALL OF THE TIME …i…cant choose…
things i like happening in comics right now: EVERYONE IS MAKING COMICS. people dont have to wait for publishers anymore or spend money to print issues. thank you, internet. also people are also realizing how unlimited the medium can be once you push away dumb rules and traditions of what makes a comic a comic.
for the future: i want people who want to do comics for living to be able to do that in a way that doesnt deprive them of their rights to their own creative work. i want comics people to be paid fairly. i want comics people, who want to do comics as work, to develop a better business sense and not feel like this is ‘selling out’.
i want people to be able to do the comics they want to do and reach the audiences that are already out there waiting for them. i want webcomics to be accepted as just ‘comics’. i want people to experiment more with comics without worrying about their audience.
and whether they’re making or reading comics, i want people to have fun.
